A new reinforced concrete contains short lengths of wire or rod which is blended with the concrete formulation and is randomly distributed within it. The reinforcement is particularly wire of 3-6 and pref. 4mm dia. and length 30-60 pref. 50mm, and partic. hardened steel. The material is useful for inclusion in doors and walls of safes etc. to resist the attack of drills and chisels. - The wire partic. comprises 15-30 wt.% pref. about 20 wt.% of the concrete.
