PURPOSE:To enable to extend the life time of a cooling fan by a method wherein the number of rotations of the cooling fan is controlled according to the change of the temperature inside a unit, and the temperature in the unit is kept stable and the cooling efficiency of the cooling fan is stablized for a long time as well. CONSTITUTION:The temperature detected by a temperature sensor is set up near a thermal head 11 which is equipped in a heat sensitive recorder unit 10, includes the temperature TH directly generated from the thermal head 11, for instance 30 deg.C, and the temperature inside said unit 10. The output detected by the temperature sensor 12 is supplied to a rotation control unit 14 of a power supply 13 for a fan motor. The rotation control unit 14 controls the speed of the cooling fan so as to rotate the cooling fan at a high speed when the output from the sensor approaches the allowable temperature limit TL which affects the color condition of the heatsensitive recording paper and the fan is rotated at the normal speed when the output is lower than the allowable temperature limit TL, and the fan is operated at a low speed when the output is still lower than said temperature, and try to keep the temperature in the unit 10 stable, and stabilize the cooling efficiency. |
