PURPOSE:To improve a contact strength between an optical disk and a drive system flange and to speed up a rotational rise time of the optical disk by supporting a hub on its surface with the drive system flange in constitution. CONSTITUTION:The titled optical disk device 1 is capable of fixing to the drive system flange 4 by an attracting force of a magnet 6, and constitutive of an attractive material to the magnet 6, and then equipped with the hub 7 in the middle part to be supportable by the drive system flange 4. Since the constitution is in such a method that the hub 7 is directly supported by the drive system flange 4, the fixing strength of the optical disk 1 to the flange 4 in not given to the surface of the optical disk 1, but directly to the hub 2. Consequently, the hub 7 can be supported by the drive system flange 4 in such a way that a stronger magnet 6 is used to attract the hub 7. Then, the weight of the optical disk 1 is reduced with a notch and hence the rotational rise time of the optical disk 1 can be speeded up. |
