<p>PURPOSE:To provide the titled actuation process where, in obtaining oxygen gas fro air by pressure swing adsorption using an adsorbent, the titled apparatus is shut down in such a state that the oxygen gas has been fed to the adsorption column at the end of oxygen-enriching operation so as to obtain the oxygen gas immediately after the reactuation. CONSTITUTION:An adsorbent capable of selectively adsorbing nitrogen and carbon dioxide gases (e.g. zeolite) is first prepared. A plural of adsorption columns packed with this adsorbent are fed with pressurized air to draw out enriched oxygen. After the termination of the adsorption process, air is released to expel nitrogen gas etc., and the oxygen-enriched gas is stored in a buffer tank under a pressurized state. At the termination of these operations, the selector valve is opened and the oxygen-enriching apparatus is shut down in such a state that the oxygen gas has been fed from the above-mentioned tank to the adsorption column.</p> |
