PURPOSE:To make each dimensional paper stowable in one cassette by separating a cassette rear side, unitizing it with a movable plate shiftable according to size of the paper installed in a cassette bottom, and setting up each detected member, according to the paper size, in the movable plate and the bottom plate. CONSTITUTION:A movable plate 22 is moved according to paper size to be housed in a cassette 21, and the position of a rear side 24 of the cassette 21 is altered. With this movement, relative relations between detected members 25 attached to a bottom plate 23 and the movable plate 22 are altered, while relative relations between the detecting members 26 attached to the side of a cassette installing part are also varied. A patten in these relative relations is made to correspond to the paper size. In case of A4 size, by way of example, these detected members 25 and 25 are opposed to these detecting members 26, and in case of A3 size, only the detected member 25 on the bottom plate 23 is opposed to the detecting member 26. With this constitution, plural sheets of paper are stowable in one cassette.
