PURPOSE:To enable grasping of a combustion state classified by a burner, by a method wherein the luminance picture of an individual burner combustion flame is discriminated from that of other burner for monitoring. CONSTITUTION:A burner flame 13 is branched by means of a photo branch pipe 5, and is photographed through filters 61 and 62 by means of ITV 71 and 72. Conversion into digital picture data is effected by means of converters 81 and 82, and the data are stored in memory devices 91 and 92, respectively. Correlation functions phix1y1xy and phix2y2xy between luminance in the flame region and luminance distribution data of a burner 1 and those of a burner 2 is determined. A region having a correlation factor value exceeding a threshold phiS is extracted, and the flame region of s1 and s2 of the burner 1 and the flame region of s3 and s4 of the burner 2 are determined. On the assumption that the interference part of flame is in a similar relation about the central line of the burner serving as asymmetrical axis, luminance distribution of the burners 1 and 2 is estimated. |
