PURPOSE:To attain the correct layout of interval of arranged binary pictures freely by moving the arranged binary picture along a reference direction line in the correction direction of the binary picture to be arranged. CONSTITUTION:In case of giving a command input to the start and end point of a drawn picture drawing a direction reference line from an input means 5a, a picture drawing means 8c draws the direction reference line on a display means 54. In case of receiving the moving quantity of the binary picture from the input means 51, a moving picture means 8d display movably the binary picture data picked up based on the moving quantity along the reference line by a moving picture means 8d. Thus, the edited layout is outputted from a picture output means 9 in this way. On the other hand, when a call command and a display command of the binary picture data stored in a picture information storage means 52 are given to the display means 54 in the stage of the layout area for a catalog being displayed, the layout picture displayed in the display means 54 is outputted from the output means 9.
