PURPOSE:To make it possible to manufacture an excellent honeycomb structure easily by transferring a long-length sheet applied with adhesive at constant lateral pitches in a longitudinal direction, cutting the sheet in succession at intervals of multiple of integer plus 1/2 of the pitch and stacking the cut sheets. CONSTITUTION:Reeling a sheet 1 out of an original sheet roll 3, adhesive is applied on the sheet at specified lateral pitches by means of a coater 4 and dried. The sheet 1 reaches a suction belt conveyer 14 via a rotor 6, paired rollers 7 and 8, a dancer roller 9, and paired rollers 11 and 12. In the middle of the passage is arranged a cutter 13 and two mark sensors 23A and 23B apart by 1/2 of the pitch from each other. When a specified length of the sheet 1 passes under the sensors 23A and 23B and the sheet 1 advances beyond the cutter 13 by a predetermined length, the sensors 23A and 23B issue signals by turns to cut the sheet 1. The sheet cut is stacked in succession on an elevator table 20. Taking out the sheets at every specified number of sheets, they are pressed, heated, and expanded. In this way, an excellent honeycomb structure is easily obtained.
