PURPOSE:To efficiently branch or insert only a special signal out of multiple signals by being equipped with a device to make clock information toothless, an (n) frequency divider and a device to directly branch and insert a special channel only from a transmitting signal. CONSTITUTION:A receiver 101 outputs a light signal, etc., inputted from a transmission line as a data signal 11 and a clock signal 12. The signal 12 drives an (n) frequency divider 103 through a gate 102, an (n) frequency divided clock operates a D-type FF104, branches any one channel out of (n) channels and sends it to a synchronizing circuit 105. The circuit 105 investigates whether or not this is a desired channel, and when it is wrong, issues the channel shifting request. A mono-multi vibrator 106 generates the pulse for one bit of a transmitting signal and makes the clock of the output of the gate 102 toothless. On the other hand, the insertion of the data is executed by a selector 107 and a mono-multi vibrator 108. The output signal of a selector 107 is sent to a transmission line by a transmitter 110.
