PURPOSE:To smoothly obtain the copying start or copying end of a reproduced picture by gradually changing the adjusting level of a reproduced video signal with a prescribed color in parallel with the gradual change of the adjusting level of a reproduced audio signal. CONSTITUTION:At the copying start or copying end of a reproduced picture in a video area of a composite disk, a change over switch 22 selects a color information signal extracted by a color information extracting circuit 23. At the copying start of the reproduced picture, variable resistors VR1, VR2 are controlled so that the resistance value of the VR1 is gradually changed from its maximum to minimum and the resistance value of the VR2 is gradually changed from its minimum to maximum. Consequently, the intensity of an image is gradually increased on a TV picture displaying a blue picture in the initial stage, and finally a reproduced picture is displayed on the screen. At the copying end of the reproduced picture, the intensity of the image on the reproduced picture is gradually reduced under control based upon the resistors VR1, VR2, and finally a blue picture is displayed on the TV screen. The fade-in and fade-out of a reproduced picture are executed in parallel with that of sound.
