摘要 PURPOSE:To assure water for scram in an accumulator for a long period of time even if a pressure source is lost so that the unnecessary shutdown of a nuclear reactor is averted by providing a check valve to the main pipe of a filling water line. CONSTITUTION:An insert line 33 and a pull line 34 are connected to a control rod driving mechanism 32. The pull line 34 is connected via a scram outlet valve 37 to a scram discharge vessel 40. The insert line 33 is branched via a scram inlet valve 36 and one thereof is connected to the accumulator 38 and the other via the check valve to the filling water line 49, respectively. The discharge side of a pump 45 connected to the water source is connected to a master control 46 and the main pipe 47 of the filling water line is branched from the piping between the pump 45 and the master control 46. Said pipe is branched via a check valve device 50 to many filling water lines 48 which are connected to the check valve 39. The pressure drop on a primary side is then detected by the device 50 and the line is fully closed even if the pump 45 trips and, therefore, the water for scram stored in the accumulator 38 is assured for a long period of time. The cause for the trip is thus investigatable without shutting down the nuclear reactor.
