PURPOSE:To attain the cleaning of a floor surface everywhere with one laser beam source by combining a guiding device and a moving device and moving successively the guiding device to instruct the moving path of the mobile device. CONSTITUTION:When a guiding device 2 and a mobile vacuum cleaner main body are set and cleaning is started, the device 2 stays on the position by releasing the holding of a holding means 14 of a mobile device 17. On the other hand, a mobile vacuum cleaner main body proceeds while a guiding signal detecting means 6 detects a moving path formed by a laser beam 18 outputted from a guiding signal sending means 4 of the device 2, a direction control means 7 controls a driving-cum-steering means 10 and cleaning with a cleaning means 16. Next, when a forward obstacle detecting means 13F detects a forward wall surface, the means 10 is reversed, guided with the beam 18, and the same moving path as the time of the forward movement is returned. When the vacuum cleaner main body returns up to the position of the device 2, the device 2 is combined to a vacuum cleaner main body by the means 14 and moved to an adjoining cleaning floor surface.
