PURPOSE:To extract a specific data string at high speed by comparing an input data string with the specific data string by a data comparison cell group that is hardware. CONSTITUTION:Respective data of the specific data string to be extracted and comparison control information are preset at plural data comparison cells 11-1m, respectively. Also, selective information is preset at a comparison result selection circuit 4. In such state, by inputting data in a data base to a data input line 7 in order, the input data string is compared with the specific data string at high speed by the data comparison cell groups 11-1m. When coincidence is obtained, a data string extraction detecting signal CMP is generated. Thereby, it is possible to extract the specific data string at high speed.
