PURPOSE:To accelerate heat transfer and to improve the critical heat flux ratio by disposing turbulent flow accelerating members on the upper stream of spacers. CONSTITUTION:Plural pieces of supporting plates 4 are mounted to the upper stream of the spacers 2 and a partition plate 6 with mixing vanes 7 is disposed by utilizing a frame 5 having the outside shape which is nearly the same as the shape of the spacers 2. The effect is highest if the mounting position of the coolant mixing vanes 7 is determined at about 10cm on the upper stream of the spacers which are the 6th spacer and the 7th spacer, i.e., the spacer at the uppermost end and the spacer of the stage next thereto. Since the threshold output characteristic is thereby increased, the safety and safe operation performance of the plant are improved and the power generation cost is reduced.
