TABLE-SHAPED STEREOSCOPIC VIDEO DEVICE

PURPOSE:To use a device as a table and also to broaden the angle of the field of view in a horizontal direction by viewing a transmissive image and a reflected image from a half mirror through a top plate by superposing them. CONSTITUTION:The titled device installs a table-shaped housing 1 whose top plate 3 is formed of a transmissive body, the half mirror 11 standing in the said enclosure 1 and two cathode-ray tubes 12 and 13 as video display devices equipping polarization filters 17 and 18 on the display surfaces. The display surfaces 12a and 13a of two video display devices are arranged nearly symmetrically facing two sides of the half mirror 11 with a specified angle and the transmissive image and the reflected image from the half mirror 11 are superposed to be viewed through the top plate 3. Since a stereoscopic video device 2 is provided in the table-shaped housing 1, the appearance of the device is as same as a usual table and wide angle of the field of view in a horizontal direction can be obtained corresponding to the dimension of the width of the half mirror disposed in parallel with the horizontal direction of a screen.
