PURPOSE:To easily form a cooling water passage by offsetting at least one of suction and exhaust ports from the center of a combustion chamber to one side, defining a space between the other side of the suction port and a bolt inserting cylinder, and forming a connected water passage in the space. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder head 3 of a multiple cylinder engine is constructed of plural domes 3a each defining a combustion chamber 1 therein, suction and exhaust ports 3b and 3c extending from the domes 3a in a direction crossing a direction of arrangement of the combustion chambers 1, and a water jacket formed in an outer will of the domes 3a. Each dome 3a is formed at its periphery with insertion cylinders 3h for fastening bolts 14. Each suction port 3b is offset by a distance s from the center of the combustion chamber 1, thereby connecting one side of the suction port 3b to the bolt insertion cylinder 3h. Accordingly, a connected water passage 18 for the water jacket located vertically of the suction port 3b may be easily formed.
