PURPOSE:To easily and certainly set the housing position of each key telephone set connected with a main equipment by sending an inter-call selection signal for a prescribed key telephone system through a voice line and allowing the prescribed key telephone system to recognize housing positional information and to store this information. CONSTITUTION:When the key telephone set 26 is ready to receive, the main equipment 21 sends a prescribed housing positional data signal for each key telephone set 26 by a data line 27. Simultaneously, it sends the intercall selection signal for the prescribed key telephone set through the voice line 22 and makes the prescribed key telephone set 26 recognize the housing positional information and, store this information. Thus the housing position of each key telephone set 26 connected with the main device 21 can be easily and certainly set.
