In mfg. a multi-layer fibre material, particularly cardboard, the additive such as a resin is applied at least to a part of the separate web sections. The additive is applied during the winding stage, on the last fibre web section being wound at any time, and the additive can be rolled on to the web material. The additive is free of solvent when it is applied, or it can be delivered in a solvent. The pref. additive is a single or double component resin, a natural or synthetic thermoplastic/duroplastic or elastomeric in the form of a bitumen, latex, polyalkilene, polyether, polyamide, polyepoxide, PVC or polyurethane components. The additive can also be a formaldehyde resin, phenol resin, pref. phenol formaldehyde resin, melamine resin or a urea resin. There can be a wetting agent, a foaming agent, or cellulose fibres pref. from used paper and/or inorganic fibres and/or synthetic fibres and/or textile fibres and/or wood fibres. Glass fibres and/or mineral fibres and/or pulpex fibres can be introduced. |
