PURPOSE:To obtain high-quality color images having excellent recorded density, uniformity of color formation and resolution in a high recording density, by producing each of a plurality of ink dots constituting an image, by superposing at least two ink droplets. CONSTITUTION:In giving inks to a recording material comprising an ink transport layer and an ink support layer from the ink transport layer side so that a monochroic color reaction part capable of being observed from the ink support layer side is formed of a plurality of ink droplets, each of the ink dots is formed by superposing at least two ink droplets. For example, a method may be used in which a plurality of nozzles are provided for each color, and a plurality of ink droplets are given to the same place or the vicinity thereof, or a method may be used in which ink jet nozzles are scanned at least two times. For ensuring a simple device, a method is preferably used in which at least one nozzle used in common for the colors is provided, and an ink used in common for the colors is jetted from the nozzle, the common ink being preferably a colorless ink. |
