PURPOSE:To facilitate replacement, repairing etc., of an air filter, by allowing installation of the air filter to be performed from under a mounting frame thereof. CONSTITUTION:An air filter comprises air filter elements 10, filter frames 20, and a mounting frame 30. At the lower end of the periphery of the filter frames 20, groove-like sealing material holders 21 are disposed along the whole outer surfaces thereof. A support plate 34 is secured to the under surface of the mounting frame 30 to support the filter frames 20, the under surfaces of the sealing material holders 21 abutting on the surface of the support plate 34, with flanged parts 33 of the mounting frame 30 engaged with the sealing material holders 21. A bolt 38 is inserted into the support plate 34 and screwed into a nut 37 to be fixed to the under surface of the mounting frame 30.
