A valve arrangement for idling compensation of a vehicle internal combustion engine has a line 3 which bypasses the throttle valve 2 in the induction manifold 1 and in which are arranged an idling compensation valve 4, which is controlled by operating parameters, and also a throttle 6, which is independent of this valve and variable depending on the rotational speed and which has a throttle body, actuated in the closing direction by a spring, and restricts the open cross-section of the bypass line 3 to a value corresponding to a preset maximum idling speed when the throttle valve 2 is closed. As a result, an excessive idling speed is precluded, should the electronic control 5 for the idling compensation valve 4 fail or the valve body become jammed. <IMAGE> |
