A known type of lifting harness for handicapped persons includes a lifting band, which supports the thighs of the person and lifting straps which support the breast, which bands and straps are connected with each other by one of their ends and being connected to a lifting equipment by their second ends for lifting a person by means of the harness. In order to improve this harness so that when the person is supported in the harness in a sitting position, the person's trousers can be moved down over the legs so that the back of the person is exposed, the harness includes a belt arranged to lift the person around the breast. Lifting bands (10, 11) extend from the belt and to the underside of the thighs. Lifting straps (2, 3) tighten the belt (1) around the breast but easily so that the harness will not press heavily against the breast of the person. The lifting takes place also by means of the lifting strap. |
