PURPOSE:To dispense with any deburring work after casting by forming an oil passage in a cylinder head body, where plural guide holes of a valve lifter are arranged in a cylinder bank direction so as to make the passage traverse a bottom part of each guide hole in the cylinder bank direction. CONSTITUTION:A cylinder head 1 consists of a head body 5 and plural blockish projections 6 where the tappet valve gear set up on an upper wall 5a of this head body 5 is built in. And, each projection 6 is made up of a projection 7 for a spark plug, a bearing part 9 for a camshaft and a tubular projection 10 provided with respective projections 10a and 10b for suction and exhaust. In this structure, a guide hole 12 for a valve lifter is formed in the tubular projection 10. An oil passage 13 is formed in a bottom part of the tubular projection so as to make it traverse a lower part of the guide hole 12 along the upper wall 5a of the head body 5. With this constitution, the oil passage 13 is made so as not to be parted at each cylinder. |
