In the case of a changeover apparatus, especially for operating voltages in lighting installations, having an AC voltage input, a DC voltage input and at least one output, it is provided according to the invention that the DC voltage is transformed to the desired value by electronic means, via an invertor and a control circuit, and is fed to a capacitor and that, when the DC voltage is applied to the DC voltage input, the transformed DC voltage is passed by means of a changeover relay to the output, the relay being operated by the input voltage.
