PURPOSE:To inform an operator of that abnormal state often happens at the time when an applicable dial number is used by accumulating the number of times abnormality occurrences for each registered dial number, and transmitting an alarm display or a recording output when the value of the accumulation reaches a prescribed value. CONSTITUTION:A facsimile equipment 1 is provided with a memory 2 which accumulates the number of times of the occurrences of abnormal connection or communication abnormality occurring in registered abbreviated dial numbers and registered dial numbers, and an abnormality detection part 3 that detects the number of the times of abnormality accumulated in the memory 2 and informs it to the control part of the equipment 1 when the number reaches a prescribed value. The detection part 3, after the number of times of abnormality is accumulated in the memory 2, detects the number of times of abnormality in an applicable dial stored in the memory 2, and in case the value is above a prescribed value, informs the control part 5 of it.
