PURPOSE:To transfer a round steel in both left and right directions assuredly and easily by turnably fixing a plurality of dogs turning in the opposite direction to each other to a ring plate 26 in a link chain. CONSTITUTION:A link chain 20 in which a plurality of dogs 30 turning in the opposite direction to each other are turnably mounted on a ring plate 26 is disposed on a frame 15 in such a manner as to run forward and backward. The dogs 30 turning in the opposite direction are separately turned to be raised and lowered by means comprising levers 38, 39 and so on. A skid 22, the upper level of which is positioned at the height within the moving range of the forward end portion of the dog 30 is disposed parallel to the link chain 20. Thus, a round steel 8 or the like can be transferred in both right and left directions assuredly and easily.
