An electronic clock is described which has an intermittent rotary drive but a continuous rotation of the indicator. The energy delivered by the intermittent rotary drive is stored in an energy storage mechanism. A control mechanism releases the stored energy in the form of a continuous rotation. A connection device between the energy storage mechanism and the control mechanism serves for the transmission of the continuous rotation between these two and for the drive of the indicator in a continuous way. The energy storage mechanism and the control mechanism are separate units.
