The invention describes components (1)...(6) and the procedure for a controller for radio receivers, particularly radio time signal receivers which are capable of automatically tuning the resonant receiving circuit (1) to the single correct transmitter on the basis of a ? knowledge of the signal to be received which is stored in the programme memory of a computing circuit (4), and, in addition, to optimise the fine adjustment in such a manner that the signal/noise ratio produced will always be maximum. Due to the characteristics of the select components and due to the characteristics of the controller, it becomes possible to carry out the control steps to the centre frequency of the receiving section and for the gain coarsely which has a very advantageous effect on the computing power required.
