On the connection of casing-pipe portions (1, 1'), whose inner pipe (2, 2') is enamelled to be highly acid-resistant, there is the difficulty of the enamel layer, which extends up to and over a radially inner region (18, 18') on the end sides (17, 17') of the connecting flanges (5, 11), exhibiting a comparatively high thickness tolerance. The invention thus makes provision for the sealing device, provided between the connecting flanges (5, 11), to be subdivided into an inner sealing ring (19) of comparatively high axial compressibility and an outer sealing region which is separate from said sealing ring and ensures the leak-tightness at the transition (8, 8') of the outer casing pipes (4, 4'). <IMAGE>
