PURPOSE:To easily and quickly perform a work to reconfirm and retrieve a meassage by providing a display controlling means with a function to change an algorithm for selecting a picture to be displayed next, according to whether the picture, now being displayed on a display unit, is the head picture of the message or not. CONSTITUTION:When the picture, now being displayed, is the head picture of one message, it is converted to display the head picture of the new message which is received one after the message, now being displayed, and has been stored. When the picture, now being displayed, is not the head picture in one message, it is converted to display the picture which is displayed one before in the same message, now being displayed. Thus, because the display controlling means, installed in a CPU 9, is provided with the function to change the algorithm for selecting the picture to be displayed next, according to the contents of the picture, now being displayed, the restoration of the picture which is displayed one before, can be easily performed by operating a review switch 15 only one time. |
