PURPOSE:To protect a motor and a motor driver even in a transient condition upon throwing a power source, by putting all of phase pattern outputs OFF through hardwares during a period until a CPU determines the phase pattern surely. CONSTITUTION:Phase pattern for rotating a stepping motor 5 with desired speed and resolution is generated from a CPU 1 onto a data path with a given period. The phase pattern on the data path is latched by a latch circuit 2. The latched phase pattern is impressed on a motor driver 4 through a buffer 3 and drives the stopping motor 5. A hold signal generating circuit 6 inputs signals from the CPU 1 and a tip select circuit 7 and outputs a hold signal to the latch circuit 2. According to this method, the indefinite output of the latch circuit 2 until a program starting is effected after throwing a power source may be prevented. |
