The use of screw pumps for discharge flows under 2.5 l/min at a speed of 1450 r.p.m. has not been commercially viable to date, because the constructional effort and the efficiency of previous pumps are too poor. These shortcomings are overcome by the features of the present invention because the number of sealing points is minimised, and the sealing points and screw spindles themselves can be manufactured more precisely and with smaller clearances.
