PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for control of use temperature and contrive a simpler operation, by using a temperature detector provided for temperature compensation for a recording head, also for control of use environmental temperature for an apparatus. CONSTITUTION:When temperature data is inputted from a sensor 1 to a CPU3 through an A/D converter 2, a load condition-discriminating part 4 compares the temperature data with the preceding data. When the temperature data shows a temperature change relative to the preceding data, a control duty of heat pulse time for a thermal head 8 is determined based on a table of date control values in a step S22, and the control duty is sent to a pulse signal-correcting part 5. Next, an updated value of temperature display data is stored into an area in an image memory 9a through a load condition display controlling part 6, and is displayed at a message display part of a display device 9. When it is judged that there is no change in the ambient temperature, it is judged whether the apparatus is in a use temperature range therefor. When it is judged that the apparatus is not in the use temperature range, alarm display data indicating that the use environmental condition is not satisfied is written into the image memory 9A. When it is judged that the apparatus is in the use temperature range, an alarm data area in the image memory 9A is cleared. As a result, an alarm message is cleared or displayed on a display screen. |
