PURPOSE:To operate an operational amplifier at a high frequency, by constituting two pairs of transistor differential pairs in vertical laminated OR constitution of ECL constitution where they are vertically laminated. CONSTITUTION:Transistors 21-24 constitute a differential circuit. The bias voltage of a base biasing terminal 31 is set at a level less than that of a base biasing terminal 32 by a voltage v1, and a lower differential circuit is switched only by the negative pulse of an input signal. The bias voltage of a base biasing terminal 34 is set at the level higher than that of a base biasing terminal 33 by a voltage v2, and an upper differential circuit is switched only by the positive pulse of the input signal, and the OR of the outputs of the upper and the lower differential circuits is outputted to the output from a terminal 2, then, the rectified waveform of the input signal can be obtained. In such a way, since the circuit is the vertically laminated circuit constituted of the ECL constitution of the transistor, it is possible to constitute the circuit easily and to operate even at the high frequency.
