PURPOSE:To lessen the decrease in torque on the occurrence of slipping by providing grooves on the surface, which faces a clutch disk, of a transmitting member, introducing the abrasive dust produced during operation of the clutch into said grooves, and lessening the reduction in dynamical friction coefficient between said transmitting member and said clutch disk. CONSTITUTION:When a shaft 1 is the driver and a transmitting member 2 is the follower in the titled clutch, the rotation of the shaft 1 is transmitted to the transmitting member 2 by frictional force due to pressure contact between both clutch disks 5, 9 and the transmitting member 2. When the transmitting member 2 becomes overloaded, a proper degree of slip occurs between the member 2 and the both clutch disks 5, 9 to prevent the damage of the driver. In such a construction, several grooves 11 ar provided at some intervals on the same periphery, on the surfaces of the transmitting member 2, which face both clutch disks 5, 9. Thereby when, abrasive dust is produced during operation of the clutch, edges 12 on the peripheral direction of the grooves 11 scrape off the abrasive dust, quickly dumping it in the grooves 11, thus attaining the desired object. |
