PURPOSE:To enable the mounting and dismounting or the maintenance and inspection of an arrestor unit quickly and safely at the side of a support arm by mounting a turning and fitting adapter for a mounting bracket in such a way as to be selectable between service and retreat positions. CONSTITUTION:After a mounting bracket 9 is fixed to a support arm 2, a turning and fitting adapter 10 as displaced to the side of the support arm 2 shown by a chain line is held with a support axis 11. The forward end of the adapter 10 is fitted with an arrestor unit 17 and both of the adapter 10 and the arrestor unit 17 are turned clockwise about the support axis 11 via an operation rod, and moved to a service position shown by a continuous line. And the mounting bracket 9 and the turning and fitting adapter 10 are tightened and connected to each other with a bolt 13 and a nut 14. When the arrestor unit 17 is dismantled, inspected or repaired, procedures contrary to a mounting work are followed. According to the aforesaid construction, it is possible to mount or dismount the arrestor unit 17 to and from a steel tower 1, or carry out the maintenance and inspection of the unit 17 quickly and safely.
