The invention relates to a cover for a disc-shaped information storage medium. The cover is characterized in that it comprises, on each side of the disc (1), protective members (2a, 2b) provided with a guiding member (8). When inserting the cover into a recording and playback apparatus, the guiding member (8) cooperates with a groove (16) on the apparatus, whereby the protective members (2a, 2b) are rotated to align openings (4, 5) with corresponding openings (6, 7) in the cover, thus providing access to the disc. When removing the cover from the apparatus, the members (2a, 2b) are rotated in the opposite direction, blocking the openings (6, 7) and thereby protecting the disc from being contaminated. |
