PURPOSE:To obtain a ceramic capacitor having high impulse breakdown voltage by providing electrodes composed of ceramic resistors. CONSTITUTION:Both end faces of a columnar dielectric ceramic 1 are covered with conductors 2, 3 made of Ag or the like, ceramic resistors 8, 9 are respectively secured by bonding with conductive adhesives 6, 7 on the conductors 2, 3, and electrodes are formed of the conductors 2, 3 and the resistors 8, 9. Semiconductor ceramic of BaTiO3 ceramic, such as (Ba.Ca)TiO3-Y2O3-SiO2 or the like is adequate as the resistors 8, 9. Thus, when the electrodes are formed of the resistors 8, 9, their impulse breakdown voltage is improved as compared with that of a metal terminal.
