PURPOSE:To improve the reliability of the titled driver by providing dust remove part for cleaning rails before and after a carriage with an optical head fixed thereupon so as to prevent deposition and adhesion of dust on the rails. CONSTITUTION:An optical head 1 is mounted on the carriage 2 in an optical head driver, in which the carriage 2 is supported stably by a main rail 3, a fixed rail 5 and a pre-load rail 6 through 6 roller bearings 4. The carriage 2 and the optical head 1 mounted thereupon are moved freely stably in forward/ reverse directions by the rolling contact of the roller bearings 4 on the rails 3, 5 and 6 by the cooperation with a magnetic circuit arranged on a coil and a base plate 7. A dust removal member 8 is provided before and after the roller bearings 4a of the carriage 2 provided to the parts in slide contact with the rail 3 and the dust removal member 8 traces the sliding track between the roller bearing 4a and the rail 3.
