PURPOSE:To obtain a solid-state electrolytic capacitor having excellent physical properties in a short time by separately dropping solution containing lead ions and solution containing oxidizer to a capacitor element to generate oxidation reaction in the element, and precipitating solid state electrolyte layer of lead dioxide. CONSTITUTION:A capacitor element 1 is placed in a cylindrical holder 11 which can contain a body, and solution containing lead is dropped from a first drop nozzle 12 disposed at the top of the holder 11, and solution containing oxidizer is dropped from a second drop nozzle 13 in predetermined quantities to the element 1. The dropped solution containing the lead ions and the solution containing the oxidizer are held in a separator 4 between electrode layers of the element 1, and oxidized to precipitate lead dioxide layers on an anode foil 2 and the separator 4. A heater 14 is buried in the outer periphery of the holder 11. When the holder 11 is heated by the heater 14, the element 11 is oxidized at temperature higher than a room temperature. Accordingly, the reaction is accelerated to shorten the precipitating time of the lead dioxide layer.
