PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized, lightweight dosimeter which is carried suitably by using a semiconductor radiation detecting element as a radiation detection sensor and using a laminated cell as its bias power source. CONSTITUTION:A CdTe semiconductor detecting element 1 is used as the radiation sensor and outputs a pulse signal every time it detects gamma rays. The output is amplified 2 and inputted to counters 4 and 5 after the highest and lowest levels of pulses are adjusted by a comparator 3. A counter 4 continues to count at all times and outputs the total counted value after the start of measurement. This output is displayed on a liquid crystal display device 8 as the integral dosage of the gamma rays at all times, and when its counted value reaches the permissible maximum exposure dosage, a buzzer 10 is driven through an alarm signal generating circuit 9. Set and reset signals are inputted to the counter 5 at prescribed time intervals and when the counted value at the time interval reaches the short-time permissible maximum exposure dosage, the buzzer 10 generates a warning through the circuit 9. The bias power source of the element 1 uses a high-voltage laminated cell.
