Burner for a hot-gas engine

A burner for heating gas in coils 3 of a hot-gas engine has gas from tube 6, the gas flow being induced by primary air passing through ejector 8 to produce a pressure lower than that in the tube 6. Air passes through pre-heater 2 and is split into primary air passing through swirl device 5 before ejector 8 and secondary air passing through swirl device 7. The flow rate of air is governed by temperature probe 18.
