PURPOSE:To decrease the deformation of a head base in case of mounting by coating a lubricant having a thermosetting property onto a mount face of a rotary cylinder and using an elastic member so as to fasten the head base tentatively thereupon thereby stabilizing the mounting and adjustment of the magnetic head. CONSTITUTION:In mounting the head base 2 with the magnetic head 3 fitted thereto to the rotary cylinder 1, the lubricant 6 having a thermosetting property is applied to a head base mount face 1a of the rotary cylinder 1 and the elastic member 7 is used to press the head base 2 thereupon thereby fastening it tentatively. After the mount adjustment is applied, the lubricant 6 is cured to fix the head base 2. Since the positioning adjustment of the head 3 is implemented by using the elastic member 7 so as to press the head base 2 by a uniform pressure, the adjustment is made stable and since the lubricant 6 is in use, the adjustment is attained easily by a small force. Since a heat source 9 is used to fix the head base 2 by curing the lubricant 6 uniformly, the deformation of the head base 2 is reduced. |
