摘要 PURPOSE:To enhance recording density, by producing a photochemical hole burning memory material through providing on a substrate a monomolecular film, dimolecular film or the like consisting of a mixture of monomolecular film-forming molecules and amphipathic photosensitive molecules. CONSTITUTION:Monomolecular film-forming molecules and amphipathic photosensitive molecules are mixed with each other. By using the mixture thus obtained, a monomolecular film, a dimolecular film or a built-up film is provided on an appropriate substrate by a known method to obtain a photochemical hole burning memory material. In this case, for obtaining a stable and tough memory material structure, it is preferable to use the monomolecular film-forming molecules in a proportion of at least 90mol.% (the photosensitive molecules 10mol.% or below. The monomolecular film-forming molecules are preferably selected from the group consisting of higher fatty acid molecules and lipid molecules.
