The sanitary article, such as a bath tub or the like, is formed from two shells made of a synthetic material 1 and 2 fitted together and defining between them at least one continuous gap in which there is a filling material 3 set as a dense mass which adheres to the two shells 1 and 2 in order to form with them a strong one-piece assembly.
