PURPOSE:To enable delivery output under a document format suited to printing system by holding document information suited to a printing system for each host system and inserting specific control code in the printing system to transfer a delivery. CONSTITUTION:A delivery performs printing, based on document information retrieved from a held data source, a document name transferred to and obtained by a host computer for delivery printing through analysis. When the document information is not available, document information stored as a key for a document name 23 paired to host ID22 of a host computer 4 which holds nearby document information is transferred to the computer 3 for printing. When the document information is unavailable, the document name 23 paired to host ID22 of the host computer which retains another nearby document information is retrieved, and transferred to a host computer of the host ID22. In this way, the same processing is repeated to obtain document information for printing.
