PURPOSE:To properly correct the density of an image developed with each liquid toner by comparing the detected density level on a recording medium with a specified density and impressing an impressed voltage, which is necessary to correct the difference between the above-mentioned densities, on the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Since the density of the image developed on the recording medium 1 has a certain relation to the voltage impressed on a recording head 11, the relation between them is previously obtained and the impressed voltage on the recording head 11 is decided corresponding to the density of the image for detection, formed on the recording medium 1. As the recording head 11 impresses the impressed voltage corresponding to the detected density of the image, that is, the impressed voltage necessary to correct the difference between the set density and the detected patch density, on the recording head 11 with a signal outputted from a driver circuit 22, an electrostatic latent image which is developed with the liquid toner in a developing device 4 is formed. Thus, the density of the image formed on the recording medium 1 with the liquid toner of the developing unit 4 can be properly held. |
