<p>PURPOSE:To carry out proper shot peening on the inner face of a thin pipe by setting a proper shot peening condition using a nozzle exclusively used for machining the inner face of a thin pipe. CONSTITUTION:At the time of carrying out shot peening on the upper inner face 7 and the lower inner face 8 of a thin pipe 4, a proper exclusive nozzle 3 is first pushed against the lower inner face 8 as a guide and, by moving it within the pipe, grid balls 6 are discharged out to the upper inner face 7 of the pipe through an upward nozzle hole 9 by the force of air 5 to carry out the shot peening of this upper inner face 7. Then, the exclusive nozzle 3 is pushed against the upper inner face 7 as a guide and, by moving it within the pipe, the grid balls 6 are discharged out to the lower inner face 8 of the pipe through a downward nozzle hole 10 by the force of air 5 to carry out the shot peening of this lower inner face 8. Thus, since the nozzle 3 is moved while keeping a constant distance toward the faces 7, 8 to be subjected to shot peening, any over-peening or under-peening will not take place at all.</p> |
