PURPOSE:To share a source program, an object code and a ROM by permitting a CPU to discriminate the type of systems by means of the state of a type pin so as to change program processings. CONSTITUTION:A means generating signals which show the type of the systems divided by the number of inputs and a status port inputting the signals from said means are provided. Namely, the status port to which the signals from the SW are inputted is mapped by a memory address and the CPU1 can discriminate the type of the systems in the middle of program execution according to whether the bit of the memory address is 'H' or 'L'. By using the common source program A, the common object code B is assembled and generated as it is and the object code is written into the ROM C. By giving only the program of the ROM C to a program controller, the processing can be executed by the program corresponding to the type of the systems among the programs which the ROM C gives to the CPU1.
