PURPOSE:To reduce a time required for a correction action, by a method wherein, a correction medium is superimposed on a recorded image, and a heating means is scanned in the direction determined according to the position of the heating means to the recorded image when the correction means is bonded on the recorded image due to the heat from the heating means. CONSTITUTION:Since a thermal head 6 is disposed rightwards of a recorded image 2 just after the recorded image 2 was formed. Therefore, in a correcting action, a correction medium 4 is superimposed on the recorded image 2, a carrier motor is reversely rotated, the thermal head 6 is made to generate heat while being scanned in a direction of an arrow B to heat the correction medium 4. After a carriage travels by the amount of one character, the heat generation is stopped, and the thermal head 6 is retracted. Due to the heat an adhesive layer 4b exhibits the adhesion, the recorded image 2 adheres to the adhesive layer 4b, and the recorded image 2 adhering to the adhesive layer 4b is stripped off from a recording paper 1 when the correction medium 4 is separated from the recording paper 1 with the scanning of the thermal head 6. In addition, the correction medium 4 is paid out from a roller 5b as shown by an arrow C and taken up by a roller 5a. If the recorded image 2 cannot be completely removed by one correction action only, the correction action is repeated. |
